I have a few trackmix poe i got for Christmas. I put them up but holy cow, the false alarms on snow, rain wind and fog basically render the camera not usable. It's basically just constantly recording when it's snowing or raining, filling the 256GB card inside in hours. If email turned on, your spammed with 100's of emails/day.
Here's an example, this was "animal detected":
And it's barely snowing in this one. And the road and top of tree line are erased out as no detect zones. And it's day time. It's really bad at night, and if snowing, at night, it basically just records constant. Sometimes it trips with just wind. I've turned off "all motion" , but it's just constantly confused "vehicle detected, person detected, animal detected" Is there anyway to correct this? I have some "trail cameras" from another manufacturer and the false alarms on those are extremely minimal. I know there's a fine line between false alarms and missed alarms, but this seems heavily weighted towards false alarms. I'd never get anything in the way of security if the card is overwritten every few hours during a snowfall.

@user_792702754615469_792702754615469 You need to disable motion detection and allow persons, vehicles and pets. Moreover there is an alarm delay which you can increase to 1 or 2 sec. And ensure you have the latest firmware installed. You can check this from Reolink download center.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I've already done all those from reading other threads. "any motion" is disabled on record and email. . Delay is 3s. sensitivity is 1 lowest. Overnight I received 104 emails of "alarms" . Person, vehicle, and animal.

Turn on Motion Mark under Detection Alarm on your mobile app to see what triggering the events. I've been getting a lot of rain here in California and no issue with my TrackMix. You might want to play around with object size setting if the problem persists.

I turned this one in the desktop app ( I don't use the phone app, don't use an ios/android device)
How does this manifest? Where will it show up? It says clear stream only which will only show in desktop app (real time) or in recorded videos, will it show in the recorded videos?
I could turn it on during next snow and watch it real time, it won't take long to trip.

@joseph_1979 Here you go. Let me know if you want to see another area.
I never tried object size setting. That may be an area to experiment with.

You should see the green rectangle for detected motions in both realtime and recorded video. Yes, you need to be on Clear, not Fluent to see the green rectangle.

@user_792702754615469_792702754615469 What is the sensitivity for smart detection? The one you showed in low is for motion detection.

I see 3s is a bit too much and I will use the object size too. You need some patience till you find the optimal setting.

@joseph_1979 It's 3s because I kept ratcheting it up to try and make the false hits go away.
I've never messed with the smart detection as it's a little unclear from the documentation what that actually does (it also seems redundant to object size setup), those are all at default 100.
I try the smart detection and object size.

@user_792702754615469_792702754615469 that's why the false alerts because of the high sensitivity for the smart detection. The higher the value the lowest resemblance. Set between 50 to 65.

There are two sensitivity settings.....one for any motion and one for smart detections.

@joseph_1979 Motion mark doesn't show anything in the clear download. I dunno, if the camera thinks snow and falling rain is people or animals...it's got issues. It's going back. I'll try another.
