When I am connected to my Argus PT using the ReoLink windows client and using LiveView, when somebody walks around in the view, I see a person icon appear to the upper right, so it seems the camera properly detected the motion and it's type. However, nothing shows up in the playback view to see it. I've got motion record on, all the settings are on, schedule is 24/7, yet nobody walking is getting recorded. I know recording is on because there are some motion events recorded, but it looks like it's just tree movement.
Then as another test I had my daughter walk out onto the property, The live view detected her, but no recording. Not until she was literally on the camera did a motion event get recorded.
What could I have setup wrong?

@user_800223313895651_800223313895651 Can you paste your settings (sensitivity, recording, push notification)?

@joseph_1979
PIR: ON
PIR: Sensitivity: 92
Detection: NO Non-detection zones
Detection: Smart Detection: Person:69, Vehicle:60,Animal:68
Detection: Object Size: None set
Camera Recording: ON
Camera Recording: Schedule: All 24/7
Camera Recording: Post Motion: 15sec
Camera Recording: Overwrite: On
Push: Off
Email: On
Siren: Off
It does record, but the only activity it seems to log is the wind blowing a tarp around -
@user_800223313895651_800223313895651 in recording...all the detection type are highlighted?
Similarly under email.
Note PIR has a max range between 8 to 10m. And it triggers more quickly if object crosses the PIR rather than approaching it. -
@joseph_1979
Yes, under Camera Recording: Schedule, all detection types are highlighted in blue with a blue border and the entire table is solid blue. When I went into email, it was on, but didn't look like it was fully setup. I turned email off.
What I'm having trouble understanding is that how is it when my daughter walks onto the property approximately 75' away from the camera, that liveview detected her and showed a person icon, but your camera doesn't log or record it.
Yesterday afternoon my other amcrest cameras properly detected a person walking his dog along the rear of my property (100' away!!!). Your reolink that this individual walked within 25' of didn't log a thing. It couldn't have gotten any easier than that and yet nothing logged. But yet, I have a bazillion snippets of the tarp right next to where he was walking flapping about, of course, except at that moment he was walking. I eventually will need to add a non-detection zone over the tarp but for now, trying to resist changing any other settings till I can figure out if I need to return this camera. -
@user_800223313895651_800223313895651 if you have a power point in the vicinity or you have an ethernet cable then I recommend you to opt for a poe or dc powered camera. Their detection is based on pixel changes and are recording continuously. With these cameras you can have recording prior the triggering and you can record 24x7. I have battery cams in location where I can pass any cable. These are better than nothing.
