Very confused as to why there is a distinction between 'battery powered' cameras and WIFI cameras. I want to connect a wireless camera to my POE NVR. Instructions are quite clear in the support article at,

      https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007011053-Add-Reolink-IP-Cameras-to-Reolink-PoE-NVR

Regrettably, my location outside does not have a power source so I naturally want to add a solar powered wireless camera. The support article at,

      https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004441533-Can-I-Add-Reolink-Battery-powered-Cameras-to-Reolink-NVR

makes it quite clear that I can't add a solar powered camera to my NVR. So in a nutshell, how does the technology differ between the battery powered wireless cameras and the WIFI wireless cameras? Don't they use the same IP technology? Why does a camera powered by solar differ so drastically from a camera powered by a wall plug?

      Thank you!

All battery powered cameras can't be added to Reolink NVR or accessed via any other 3rd-party software since the nvr or third party software doesn't have battery management system and also can't detect the IP address of the camera.

You can only access the battery-powered cameras via Reolink Client and Reolink App. Besides, the camera only store the motion detection recordings in the inserted micro SD card or Reolink cloud for released countries.
