Greetings !So i have a RLK8-420D4 kit and realize google integration is not yet out and not sure if its planned anytime soon for reolink nvrs.So i was wondering my poe dome cameras 420-5mp with sd card have latest firmware 515 that suppose to work with google home.If i connect all cameras to a poe switch , and connect switch to router. Then connect nvr to router only. Will nvr still record, and can i then use google assistance on the cameras as they will all have there own ip address ?Any ideas if this will work as cameras will be independant of nvr. Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions.
Theoretically, in LAN, the camera can record to NVR and will also work with Google Assistance at the same time under that way. But we don't test that before, and the firmware which is compatible with Google Assistance is designed for the IP cameras. So we don't recommend you operate like that, it is best to connect your cameras to the router directly.
