We need a LTE camera with further motion detection than 30' PIR ! If it is true that an hour of sun can run your camera a whole day then you have some power to spare, even with a solar battery camera, but some of us have available electric--just no wifi. For rural situations where we need to detect motion further away, need the motion detection provided by video analysis and not simply PIR !

@merbine_640217202712690 How about having a 4G router and then connect to the cameras through WIFI. Then you would opt for a mains powered camera which provides 24x7 recording and a detection range of 100 feet.

@joseph_1979 Since this is the Wish List category, it would be nice not to have to buy multiple devices since they make LTE cameras, and just have some that aren't limited to PIR / 30'ish feet. Even the solar powered ones, which might not generate enough to run a router, etc etc., apparently could generate enough to handle some motion analytics that will detect further away.

@merbine_640217202712690 Most PIR are within the 10m to 15m range. So to have a longer range then opt for a 4G router and a WIFI mains powered cameras which can provide a detection range of 100 feet. You may use WIFI extender too if the main router signal strength is not enough.

@joseph_1979 I trust you saw my reply. This is a wish list category on the forum and again, it would be nice not to have to buy all the extra stuff to accomplish the goal of a cellular cam with something more than just PIR. I have already done a workaround, but 'wish' that I did not have to do a workaround and I have thus expressed this here. Thank you.

@merbine_640217202712690 I suggest you to submit your request to support on support @ reolink . com. I don't think that they will read it here.

@joseph_1979 Thanks. I had written Reolink and they suggested i post on wish list
Oh well.
Need better motion detection on cellular cams
