I have 7 RLC-410s and 1 RLC-420. One of the 410s and the 420 are setup to email photos when motion is detected. Everything works great. I've got the sensitivity setup so I don't get false alerts. The problem I'm having though is the often times, I cannot view the attached photos on my computer.

I've tried in Outlook 2010 and 2013 as well as the web client for my email account to preview them. I have also tried Windows Photo Viewer and Adobe Photoshop CC 2015. I can view maybe 10% of the photos that are emailed to me. Photoshop gives me this error message - "Could not complete your request because a JPEG marker segment length is too short (the file may be truncated or incomplete)."

Oddly enough, I can view the photos, every single one of them, on my Droid Turbo running Lollipop. I have on occasion edited the photo on my phone and saved it, then transferred it to my computer. That works, but it can be a hassle.

Is there a fix for this? The RLC-420 is running the latest firmware while the RLC-410 is running the firmware before the current version.

      Thanks,

      -Michael

Thanks for your reply. As I mentioned, the 420 already has the latest firmware. I did update the firmware for the 410, but it hasn't sent me any alerts yet to test.

Thanks. I have updated the firmware. I'll report back after I get a handful of emails.

That seems to have done the trick. Thank you!
