      Hello community.

      I'm setting up a home system, mainly to view outside around my home.  My plan is to buy the RLK8-410B4 kit and then add on 4 more cameras, but I'm having trouble picking which cameras to add on.  The 411 compaired to the 422 camera look like they serve very different purposes but from what I can tell have very similar specs.  Can someone give me some tips on how I would use them (or place) them differently.

      The location I'm planning on placing cameras are:

      1. Looking down Driveway (long lens) : from corner of house or from fence line

      2. Side Yard : from over garage (wide angle - basket ball area and garage approach)

      3. Front Yard - have a large (long and wide) front yard : from corner of house.

      4. Front Porch/Front door area (wide angle) : from corner of porch

      5. Back Yard / Pool area : Multiple cameras covering pool area

      6. Inside Kids Game Room :  Still have mixed feeling about putting any cameras inside - feels like I'm spying on myself.  Any thoughts or suggestions on this I'm open to.  I don't want guest to feel like we are filming them...  Maybe hide this camera somehow.

      I know four 410 cameras come with the kit, but if anyone has suggestions on what model cameras I should add to the system, please chime in.

      ::Chris

        Hi, Chris. For the inside kids game room, you can choose the RLC-422, it can be mounted on the corner of the ceiling. For those outdoor area, you can choose the RLC-411, it has 4X optical zoom so that you can wider view angle.

          Both RLC-422 and RLC-411 have 4x optical zoom according to the website.

          I have mainly RLC-422's installed everywhere. Both inside & out. They work fine & are more protected in the dome.

          The RLC-411 does have better night vision distance according to the website though. I have not owned one to say for sure though.
