      Hi,
I have a RLN8-410 which is all set up and running well with one pretty major issue. Whenever the ip address changes we can no longer view the cameras remotely. After having no access to the cameras for a week I set up a NOIP account and entered the details into the RLN8. It’s been a few days now and the RLN8 has not updated the IP address at all. Is there some trick to force an update? The docs say DynDNS and NoIP are supported and there are sections to enter login details but after that nothing happens.
I have opened all ports on the modem and even tried disabling the firewall completely, but still nothing happens.

Any ideas? The setup guide is brief at best and provides no help when something doesn’t work.

      Thanks

If you don't want the IP address of the NVR always change at will, you can assign a static IP for it. And then the camera that connects to the NVR will be granted the IP address provided by the NVR. You can refer to Set up Network General Settings on PoE NVR to set the static IP. If you have other problems during operation, I suggest you contact our support team:support@reolink.com for further assistance. Thanks.

I don’t mean the local IP address, that’s irrelevant. I mean the internet IP address given by the ISP.

            Hi,

You will need to request a static IP from your ISP if they offer this service which is normally at a charge. Once they enable this then your WAN IP will never change.

Remember to activate UPNP and P2P, do not forget to restart your modem and your camera
