I have noticed since installing my POE cameras that at night I’m getting an increasing number of white spots impacting the picture. Can I change settings to minimise this? Would appreciate help and guidance? Thanks
My experience has been that insects appear to be drawn to the infrared LED's which come on automatically when the camera switches from "day" to "night" mode. Even though they are very (very) small, they come very close to the camera and thus appear "big" and "very bright", which triggers the motion detection algorithm. What I finally did was install a separate source of light which comes on after dark and is several feet away from the camera. One is about 8 ft. and the other two are 3-4 ft. Bug that are drawn to those lights do not appear to affect my cameras. One of the disappoints I had with the original 4MP Reolink cameras was that there was no option to disable the built in nightlight. The newer camera models allow that option. This is the product I purchased. They seem to work for me, although the mounting bracket is a bit awkward.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075ZYG89D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
