I have a major problem with my NVR RLN8-410 (Fw Version: v2.0.0.4265_1489_1708082). Overnight the HDD stopped recording and there's a loss of video signal from the NVR. Viewing in Reolink Client Windows v7.2.2.12, the NVR login is successful but no video signal. The HDD however can playback all recorded video events before this failure. I swapped the harddrive to a WD Purple 4TB but the problem remains the same - login success, no video signal. The hard drive can be formatted but not record. I assume because there's no video data signal going from the NVR to internal HDD and to my router. The 2 cameras are connected to a Netgear GS308P POE switch. The 2 Reolink RLC-411S (Fw Version: v2.0.0.889_17083006) PoE cameras work fine when connected to the Netgear switch writing to the internal sdcard and playback video in Reolink Windows client. However when the 2 cameras are connected directly to the NVR PoE ports there's no login and no video, this is the same on all 8 ports but green and amber lights flicker on the used ports. I have rebooted the NVR but it remains the same. From this I conclude the NVR has hardware failure but the HDD is working. I'm using the latest firmware for NVR & cameras. Please can you help with this NVR RLN8-410 failure, what is the cause of this fault? Thanks for help!
______________________________________________ My Netgear GS308P PoE Switch - Port Layout: [PoE1] [ PoE2 ] [ENET1] [ENET2].........¦...............¦..................¦............¦ [CAM1] [CAM2] [NVRLAN] [ROUTER]______________________________________________The Netgear switch has 8 ports; 4 PoE, 4 Ethernet, this connection arrangement has worked fine for many months, until now.
Since your 2 Reolink RLC-411S are connected to the Netgear switch and you can access them on the client software, you must have set passwords for them. If so, after cameras are connected directly to the NVR PoE ports, did you input the passwords for the cameras into the NVR for successful login?I guess it is the problem.
Thanks for your help Bob, yes RLC-411S cameras set with password. I've now input the NVR with the same password as my cameras, connected them directly to ethernet ports on the NVR. NVR login success on client software but no video feed, same as when using Netgear switch. Is this NVR RLN8-410 hardware failure?
If you log into the NVR with Reolink Client, will you see the channels and the camera live streamings?
No I don't, login is successful but no video signal. I have now returned NVR to Reolink's UK base for a replacement, Reolink customer support had suggested to disconnect harddisk but the fault was the same. So it's been sent back by RMA. Thanks anyway for your help on this issue!
It's okay. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
