Is there an option to access the NVR to be able to grab the recorded videos in order to backup them to another storage system? (e.g. a separate NAS)
Hi there, you can set up the FTP to transfer data to the NAS. If your NAS is QNAP or Synology, in addition to uploading videos to your QNAP or Synology via FTP server, you may also add the NVR directly to your QNAP or Synology following the below articles. This article is for your reference, https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000628566-How-Can-I-Have-My-Reolink-Camera-Record-to-My-NAS. When you add NVR to Synology, if your NVR is RLN8-410, please choose the ONVIF instead of Reolink when you choose the brand. If you use the RLN8-410-E, you can choose Reolink.
Thank you for the information. At least it is possible. But FTP should not be used any more - it is insecure. I would prefer to see at least SFTP or better scp or rsync as transfer methods.
