It's 30F outside and very sunny. The solar panels for my Argus PT are not charging the cameras batteries and my batteries are running low. Please advise. I noticed the camera was blinking from orange to green. Doesnt this mean the camera is being charged by the solar panel? But camera battery not accepting the charge because its 30F outside?
So after the temperture went above 30F it started to charge. It went from 38% battery life to 40% battery life from an all day charge. Sunny all day. Solar is such crap.
The battery-powered camera has higher requirement of working temperature. Make sure that your camera is not working in temperatures below 0°C (32°F) or above 60°C (140°F).Your understanding will be highly appreciated. Have a nice day.
I would like to know how old your camera & batteries are? Thanks
The approx battery life of Reolink battey-powered cameras can last 500 cycles.Charging from 0%~100%,and then running to 0% is one cycle.
almost no rechargable batteries can charge effectively at below-freezing temperatures. not Lead Acid, not Lithium Ion, and I don't believe NiCad or NiMH are any better. And they also have a fraction of their rated power capacity when that cold, assuming they were charged before freezing.
Yes, that's right. the battery will not be charged below below-freezing temperatures.
