Hi, I recently bought the RLK8-810B4-A camera system and two B10 junction boxes for two of the cameras. I tried attaching the cameras to the junction box before I started drilling holes into the house to make sure it all fitted correctly. Annoyingly it seems the holes that have been pre-drilled into the junction box are not perfectly aligned with the holes that are drilled into the camera mounts. The B10 junction box does say it’s compatible with the RLC-810A cameras but it appears the quality control is somewhat lacking. They are made in China so should we expect any quality control!?I’ve tried just about every combination to make the holes line up but with no luck. I don’t want to force screws into the partial open holes because the base is metal and I don’t want to thread the screws which could ruin the box should I need to take the camera off for any reason. And I don’t want to be forcing it once I’m 20 ft up a ladder! I’ve contacted customer services but I’m doubting if a replacement they send will be any better. Well, the cameras are also made in china, what did you expect. Also would have been cheaper to go to your local hardware store and buy a couple cantex boxes and drill your own holes to mount it. Just my opinion...
Hi there, thank you for your feedback about the junction box. We will forward this to our product team.
