Last year, I queried to whether the browser client would support 4k streams. I wrote:I think the issue here may be that Chrome does not currently support h265, and that major vendors are leaning towards AV1. Surely the solution is to build an AV1 stream into the camera (via a firmware update) and then a browser (and broader range of clients) can render it? It does look like AV1 support is required for future cameras, although I don't know if the h265 stream is produced by hardware or software..Is there any update on this issue?
