Last week I tried to generate a timelapse on a RLC-510A

I couldn't find the feature in the Mac app - should it be? I'm running 8.7.1 - why can't there be feature parity between the mobile and desktop clients?

Using the iOS app I selected Time Lapse / create / customize. Start "now", duration "disabled finish capture automatically" (as I wasn't sure how long I wanted it to run for), Interval "5 minutes", quality "Clear", file type "video" and pressed start and it showed "Generating"
A week later I went back into the app and clicked "finish" and nothing has happened - so I'm a bit disappointed. There was nothing to suggest it wasn't working.

I think I may have clicked the 'view' button while it was running. Does that break it (but still leave the "finish" button showing)?

Also I don't seem to get any email notifications from this forum, which limits how often I remember to come back and check. Is there a way to fix that?

        1. The PC Client doesn't have the time-lapse function now. It will be available in Client version 8.8.

        2. If you click the "view", it will not break the video. Could you please give me a screenshot of the timelapse settings?

What's your APP version? Android or IOS? When you finish the time-lapse, what's the message meaning the nothing?

        3. For the email notification, you can check the setting on your personal setting.

@reolink-fiona thanks for your reply. Looking forward to client 8.8

This is the iOS app, v 4.29.2.1 I'm trying again, here's what the screen shows. I've noticed sometimes it shows the view from the camera, other times it shows a picture of blue sky and clouds - I'm not sure why I see the two different things. When I clicked "Finish" last time nothing seemed to happen but no video was created.
I don't seem to be able to post a screen shot, the forum shows an error and 'too large'
If I switch to the Time Lapse Gallery that says "Generating" above the thumbnail and a duration of 1 second. If I select that is says "Caching is required before you can play the video" and it seems to play ok.

@liam_93721152131241 If you need to insert picture on the forum, you can only upload from the local file now. Click here to upload the file.

For the email notification, I have told our engineer to look at this issue. You can only receive the online notification now.

The timelapse needs time to generate the file. So you can see the video after the end time. You can also see the generated file time when the time-lapse is generating.

              View the generating video:
When the timelapse is generated for some time and it has shown the generated file time, you can tap the "view" to preview the video.

              Download the whole video:
If you finish the video(you can check if the video has shown the generated file time), before downloading the video in the gallery, caching the file is required.

@reolink-fiona Thanks. That's all as I expected, so there must be some obscure bug. I'll see if I can reproduce and open a support ticket.

Uploading the screen shot I tried to include previously.
