      Hello,

I would like to use a weather camera for a website.

For this to work, it must be possible for the camera to send a photo to my server at defined intervals.

This photo must be able to get a defined name. The file name must always be the same. An old photo on the server should be overwritten with a new photo.

How can I define such a setting?
With which Reolink cameras does this work?

You can use a camera with an FTP function. You can set the interval of the image upload in the FTP settings. All our PoE cameras and Wifi cameras(excluding the battery ones) support the FTP function. You can tell us more requirements for your cameras.

            Hello...

I already use the FTP function. It works very well.

However, I miss the possibility to set that a photo should always have the same file name and an older photo is replaced by a new one. If I want to use the camera as a webcam, the photo on the server must always have the same file name and always be in the same folder in order to display the photo on a web page.

Currently, each uploaded photo is given its own file name and moved to year folder, month folder and day folder.

So linking on a web page, which can only work with static file names, is not possible.
It would be nice if this function was possible. That would expand the functional range of their very good camera technology by quite a bit.

            Hallo…

                Any new findings yet?
I would like to replace this weather camera with a Reolink:

It would be wonderful if you could realize this. Maybe possible with a RLC-511WA?

Can you find the "overwrite single file" setting? If not, you can upgrade your camera with the latest firmware. Download the firmware here, Download Center – Reolink.

                      Hello
Unfortunately, I just read the post today.
I will now make an update and test the configuration.
If everything works, I can replace the existing 11 year old camera with a new Reolink.
