      Hello,

in my country there are quite strict legal regulations about video surveillance.

One is that it is not allowed to store data for longer than a certain period. Common jurisdiction states for example 72 hours. So that would mean, for a totally legal usage of the cameras, you would have to check for and delete data everyday that is older than 3 days.

I would therefore like to see an optional function, that deletes those footage after a specific, editable period (preferrably in hours). So you can decide whether to

      • not delete it at all and allow the camera to overwrite data as it is common now or
      • give a certain time frame (like 1 hour to 8760 hours or so :)) after which the data is automatically deleted.

      Thanks for reading. 🙂

@kristof it has to be wiped as otherwise it is recoverable. And this should be extended to ftp too. Once file has been successfully transferred there should be an optional function to delete the file after a specific time set by user. After all the embedded os is Linux and so easily achievable. It's a matter of priority.
