This is THE most difficult to set up camera I've ever experienced. When I try adding a camera on the PC, the software promptly presents the "Add Device" screen. It displays "UID." Would that be the UID of the camera? The UID of the wifi network? My personal UID on this website? So, I switch to "IP/Domain." Is that the IP of the camera AND the domain of the wifi? Is it just the IP? Just the Domain? The port is obviously 9000. That's the only thing I get about this. The software leaves a LOT to be desired. It isn't user-friendly at all. I have a suspicion that the software was created by a high school code slinger just to show what he could do. The "Quick Start Guide" is useless. The website doesn't seem to be vvery helpful, either. Only vagueries a very briefly touching on a subject without giving any real information.I can get the outdoor camera (Argus PT) to show up on my mobile app but can't add it to the PC client. The E1 won't show up at all on the mobile app, and can't add it to the client app. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've updated the firmware for the cameras, downloaded the latest PC client, updated everything on two different PCs, downloaded the latest mobile app, and made sure my mobile was up-to-date.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The UID is printed on the box the camera came in. Maybe try the most obvious thing first?
I usually have the Windows Client "Scan" for new cameras, which works as long as the camera is on the same IP subnet as the Windows machine. For IP, I would try the IP address reported by the WiFi router.
