Is there a way (or possible future select firmware) that will disable creation of low quality recordings?
If the camera is working correctly I personally don't need (why waste processing power & battery) the low quality videos.
I understand some people may want that to be email them......
Just asking for opinions.........

This is also something that I was wondering. I have no need for them either, but still unsure what reason someone could need them. -
@user_585783633887262_585783633887262 There is always a reason. It could be related to bandwidth. If there is an issue in playing high resolution video due to restricted bandwidth or jitter between camera and device running the client then you need to scale it down.

Hi def videos on SD card have jitter and pixelation. Running AImesh and all clients have well over 100Mbps at each location. Like I said....they used to work with hi def playback directly to client (Android & Winders).
Are my SD cards here yet?.....can't wait -
@user_585783633887262_585783633887262 I am not referring to your case. It is a generic answer of why there is the need of low and high res video files.

Hey....just wanted you to know that Reolink finally made the FW updates available for all of my cameras and all videos are great now.
Finally on version v3.0 0.875_22030800
Thanks for your help!
Have a great day! -

Well here is how it started out.......
Received my 2 Samsung EVO Plus and 1 Samsung Pro Plus 160 MBs Read 120 MBs Write.
Since it was late and only need a small step ladder for the height disabled wifeI was going to install the Samsung Pro Plus. Removing the SD card (which I've done several times on this cam due to accessibility) I pushed on the installed SD card and the next thing I see is the SD card fly out and bounce on the deck about 10 feet and believe it or not.....it went right down a crack between the boards! Cannot retrieve it because of lattice around the deck and the side I remove has tomato plants in front of it....maybe it's a waterproof model......
Here are the recording results: Low quality OK as usual High quality recordings PIXELATED!
At this point (other than being Pi$$ed) I'm back to thinking it's the cam/firmware.
Will Install the EVO Plus tomorrow in another cam and reply with the results but the Pro Plus definitely EXCEEDS Reolinks recommendations for SD cards!
NOT a happy camper -
The quick action icons allow you to Play/Pause the footage, un/mute the microphone, capture a photo or record a video. word search

Today I have installed into 2 different cameras my NEW Samsung EVO Plus SD cards......
Jerky hi def and pixelation continues.
I sent an email to Reolink support asking about rolling back the firmware.....Reply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@user_585783633887262_585783633887262 That's what I suspected after I asked you for the sequence of events. If I were you I will ask them to push the firmware on one camera and after restore camera and format SD. Insert the Samsung evo plus SD.
