It would be nice to be able to change the DHCP server settings on the NVR in the future. Because I would like to be able to shrink the scope that the NVR hands out to the camera's. For example, by default the NVR handed my camera's 172.16.x.x/16 which is a huge subnet! I want to shrink it to 172.16.x.x/28, so that there is only 14 valid available addresses. Or even to possibility to turn the DHCP Server off all together would be nice.If these settings exist I'd love for someone to point me in the right direction, if they don't; then maybe it's something for the Reolink team to consider.
I'm wondering what the benefit is from changing the scope of the NVR DHCP server.Perhaps I am incorrect, but my impression is that the NVR assigns IP addresses to security cameras that are connected directly to the NVR. Devices that connect to the customer's home network cannot receive an IP from the NVR, and devices connected to the NVR network are not able to access the home network.
