Where to install the 360° Reolink Fisheye? Here are recommended Positions
Hi all,I am trying to add a Yale (Assa Abloy) Front Door Wi-Fi Camera (SV-DAFX-B) to my RNL8-410 using the OVINF protocol that the Yale camera is compliant with. I have managed to add the Yale camera to Blue Iris via ONVIF no issue. On the NVR I have enabled OVINF in the advanced network settings and the NVR was then able to find the Yale camera however when I corrected the password the camera appeared as "Connection Failed". Any help would be appreciated as this only appears to be an issue with the Reolink NVR.Thanks!
@ben_633780143636494 try port 8000
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Hi,Thanks for your reply. Just tried that with no luck, same error message.Ben
@ben_633780143636494 580. check which port number the cam uses. See manual.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 download and install onvif device manager and see if it gives you the port.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Hi,I have checked those ports with no luck. I have already used ONVIF Device Manager which gave up ports 80 and 554, again checked with no luck.
@ben_633780143636494port 80 is OK.This resistration image is sub stream.So sub stream encording change H265 to H264.I was able to register a 3rd party camera to my RNL8-410(N3MB01) this way.
@sasuke Hi, Thanks! By change sub stream encoding from H265 to H264 do you mean change this on the DVR and if so would you mind directing me to this setting?Thanks,Ben
@ben_633780143636494 See on which channel the camera is and follow this https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360014731133-Set-Up-the-Encode-Settings-Via-Reolink-PoE-NVR
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Looks good but it seems that in the new UI Reolink have removed all of those options. I cannot select camera 2 as it has "failed configuration" on the channel page so I can't check if changing any settings on the camera page would work!Very frustrating.
@ben_633780143636494 You stated that you managed to connect the Yale cam to Blue Iris. To get the port I suggest you to capture a wireshark trace when you connect it to Blue Iris. You shall see the port and the URL. The data is sent using RTSP through HTTP tunneling in TCP packets. The data for all the streams is sent through the same port.
@ben_633780143636494 sub stream encording of your camera(SV-DAFX-B) change H265 to H264.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 I had an RTSP stream working in VLC fine from the RTSP stream URL I gained and this was using port 554 but again, no luck on the NVR as when I change the port and click apply it always reverts back to port 80. I also tried the IP Cam setting rather than ONVIF without any luck.Thanks
@ben_633780143636494 By default the RTSP port is usually 554, the HTTP/ONVIF port is 80 or 8080, and the HTTPS/ONVIF port is 443. I cannot find anything on this Yale camera vis-a-vis ONVIF. Can you capture a wireshark trace with ONVIF Device manager and Reolink NVR and see if you can spot any difference with respect to HTTP/ONVIF? I do not own any NVR as otherwise I would have captured traces and analyse the flow. Try to email Reolink support and tell them if your NVR supports the RTSP port 554 and the HTTP/ONVIF port 80. For sure these are the correct ports.
