822a continuous record

Quick question . If I setup continuous record in the Reolink phone app and go to playback, why do I get multiple videos? Are they contiguous? I had assumed it would be one long video on a timeline. I do t have an nvr I’m just testing the camera to see if I like it before I invest. I’m using an Sd card to record.

Yes they are continuous. By default they are 5 min long. High resolution recording results in GB file if the duration is high and so it will be difficult to download it to a PC.

ok that makes some sense. Are the continuous recordings broken up on the nvr as well? Like I said I had assumed it would be 1 long video I could scroll through to see what happened throughout the day. Not have to click on a bunch of different videos that are each roughly 5 minutes long.

is there a way to tell if an event occurred with continuous recording? Person pet car detected etc?
