I've bought an Argus2.
It seems to stop working when I move away from the Network I have it assigned to.
That's a bit confusing as it comes with both a Solar panel to charge it, and a strap to tie it to a tree, which implies that it does not need to be connected to a Network to continue to work and save the data to an SD card.
I also want to change the network it is assigned to, but as it stops working when I moved away from the original network, that becomes somewhat impossible.

@user_664977508487272_664977508487272 That means that the WIFI signal is weak at the new location. To change the WIFI setup on the camera (assuming that the previous SSID is not visible in the WIFI list) you need to reset the camera and start again. Ensure that there is strong WIFI signal at the camera location. So Insert a reset needle into the reset hole of your camera. and press and hold for several seconds until you hear the prompt “Factory reset succeeded!” or beeping, which means the camera is factory reset successfully. Then release the Reset button and run Reolink App, scan the QR code and set up the camera again.

bring camera back inside, where the wifi signal is stronger ,reset and set it up again, add the network you want use , you need a network to view camera and footage , you may need a wifi booster /extender or a access point to get the signal strength so camera connects

If you are unable to assign a new network to your device and it is not working away from the network, you should try restarting your device and resetting your network settings. If that doesn't work, try connecting to a different network.

These are helpful answers. They do leave one question unanswered. If there's a Solar panel to keep it charged, and an SD card to record on versus sending the surveillance onto the cloud, does it require a Network connection or not to function? It has a strap to attach it to a tree, etc. which suggests that no Network connection is necessary.

If your device won't operate away from the network and you can't assign a new network, restart it and reset your network settings. If that fails, switch networks.
