I mention this every year but nothing ever seems to happen, unless I am the only one.
I live in the UK, when its British summer time, BST (now) and I get a notification, when you load it it always plays the live stream. Both of my cameras are set to / showing the correct time, does anyone else have this living in the UK?Reply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@neil_chaplin_is_450076909830276 What is the version of your Android client? And which camera(s) do you have? We are also on ST and whenever I receive a push message notification and I click on it, the application takes me to the recorded clip.

@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Thank you for your reply. I believe I am on the latest app for android, 4.36.0.4.20230313. My cameras are an E1 Outdoor which is on firmware v3.1.0.804 (not the latest but I prefer the pet detection). And a RLC-510WA. When in the android app, looking at the time, it says that it is synced with the phone.
It will work perfectly when we are in winter and the time is +1 hour

@joseph_1979 I know this thread is old / been a while.
Notifications still aren't working as it should and won't open notifications that are 5 to 60 minutes old. I have the latest firmware installed on the cameras as well as the latest google app from Fiona's recent post. I have tried to look into it and have come across the attached images below:
My phone shows the time as GMT +01:00, which it is.
In the Reolink app it shows the time as GMT 00:00, which explains why when I open an older notification which is say 1 hour 30 mins old, it will try to open a notification that is only 30 mins old.
Unfortunately the app just says synced with phone and although it says you can change it, I don't seem to be able to change the time. Could this be flagged to be looked into?Reply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@neil_chaplin_is_450076909830276 It is an issue and that's winter time. In Summer you have the BST which is GMT+1 as you correctly pointed out. With the upgrades which have been introduced since we exchanged correspondence I am no longer being taken to the recorded clip but rather to the live stream. I have reported this and even in the newest application it still takes you to the live view.
Kindly email Reolink support and provide all the details. -
@joseph_1979 Just thought I would update you / anyone else who may have this issue.
I have been in contact with Reolink support, gone through tests, sent videos of the issue, they have for some reason taken it up with the RMA team? Who have come back to be and offered me £10, so I am not sure if its just a sorry gesture for any inconvenience and they are still going to look into it, or that they think that its a camera issue and are giving up on it. I have responded to say that I have multiple cameras that do the same, and I don't think its a camera issue and will they still be looking into it as I don't think me replacing the cameras with newer ones will solve it. -
@neil_chaplin_is_450076909830276 BST is GMT +1 and they should fix it out. Which model do you have? I guess that there are thousands of Reolink customers and this is tgd first time I came across this complain. Personally if this is an issue in am application which I developed then I would certainly admit and fix.
Note that clicking on notification icons on the last clients always take you to the live view. We have raised this complaint with support. - 14 days later

@joseph_1979 Just to update you and anyone that has this issue. Reolink have given me some money back as compensation for the issue on 2/3 year old cameras. They have said they are still looking into it. And it's not a time zone / server syncing issue.
As a temporary work around for summer time I have chosen the Rome, Paris time zone so now my notification and playback work as they should. I will just have to change it back in winter. -

@neil_chaplin_is_450076909830276 Thanks for the update. Appreciated. Definitely this scenario has not been tested by the programmer. But that would mean that you are now GMT + 2. The issue is even with E1 OD?

@joseph_1979 yeah. Not sure why but it works on both my e1 outdoor and 510wa
