Does anybody have (positive) experience with uploading NVR recordings (RLN16-10) to an FTP Server using FTPS?
My issue (using an HiDrive FTP cloud server) that the NVR connects to the FTP server, writes directories (YYYY/MM/DD) to the FTP directory but does not transfer any files. Is there an issue with explicit FTPS ? Does Reolink only support implicit FTPS? Has anyone a positive experience with transferring videos/pics from the NVR (or directly from POE Cams) to a cloud FTP server (other than HiDrive)?

      Many thanks,
      Carl

@carl_329417298338045 FTPS as implemented on Reolink cams supports both the explicit and implicit modes. Ensure you have the ports open on 21 (explicit) and 21 ( implicit) and data ports between 30k and 31k or as configured at remote. In your case since the folder was created then the control port is fine. So maybe the data ports are blocked by firewall along the path. Try to analyse a wireshark trace.

Thanks for your reply, Joseph-I am using exactly the same setting in Filezilla as on the Nvr. On Filezilla I can explicity chose between implicit/explicit mode. On the Nvr settings, there is no choice. As I can transfer files from Filezilla to the Ftp server without problem, I do not think that it is a Firewall problem. But good idea to use Wireshark (which I have not done before....) BTW - I also tried the same settings on a cam directly (810A). In this case even the test fails (code 453?)and no directories get created. So I assume that there are different implementations of FTPS on cams and the Nvr...

@carl_329417298338045 So install Cerberus or Filezilla ftp server (which ever you prefer) on your PC and try to upload a clip from the camera and the NVR to your ftp server. In each case try to capture a wireshark trace. Then replace the FTPS settings on the NVR and point them to the FTP cloud server and take a trace (egress) on your router. Compare the traces and see the difference.

Error code 453 means insufficient storage at remote end.
