Client Software for PC drops video and re-acquires repeatedly

After updating the firmware on the NVR, and on all cameras, and upgrading the Client software for PC to version 18.104.22.168, the client software application has been very unstable.
When I launch the application from my PC, it fires up and connects to the NVR, and all video is displayed as expected.
Then, about at 1 minute intervals, the video windows in the application all drop (go blank) and then after about 10-15 seconds, the pictures come back. This repeats endlessly.
Any Ideas why the client software would be so unreliable after new firmware and software?
