How ColorX Technology Turn Night into Day
Reolink App v4.43 Released
Hi allsimilar to this issue: Confused with High-Res video length on OneDrive | Reolink Community - videos that are FTP'd to my Windows machine show as 1 second in length, which means I can't pause, fast forward or rewind them in standard Windows media players. If I import them into a "decent" tool like Davinci Resolve, they play fine and it is able to understand the true length. You can see here that a sample file is 12MB in size but the file details show it as being only 1 second in length:According to Davinci Resolve, this is the true detail within the file:Codec: H.264 High L5.1Frame rate: 14,000Resolution: 896x512Length: 1:20:08 miniutes (1 min 20)
@scott-leckie_478144730235105 It could be that your Windows is not recognising the codec H.265. Try with VLC too.
@joseph_1979 Thanks for replying so promptly.I had a typo in what I wrote - it's actually H264 not H265. Windows can play it, but just thinks it's only 1 second long.I suspect that VLC will work, given Resolve will work. My main question is whether there is anything in the settings that will allow it to save in a more... "compatible?"... way? Or is there any chance there's a bug in the encoding and saving of the file?
