      Hi all

similar to this issue: Confused with High-Res video length on OneDrive | Reolink Community - videos that are FTP'd to my Windows machine show as 1 second in length, which means I can't pause, fast forward or rewind them in standard Windows media players.

If I import them into a "decent" tool like Davinci Resolve, they play fine and it is able to understand the true length.

You can see here that a sample file is 12MB in size but the file details show it as being only 1 second in length:

According to Davinci Resolve, this is the true detail within the file:

      Codec: H.264 High L5.1
      Frame rate: 14,000
      Resolution: 896x512
      Length: 1:20:08 miniutes (1 min 20)

@scott-leckie_478144730235105 It could be that your Windows is not recognising the codec H.265. Try with VLC too.

@joseph_1979 Thanks for replying so promptly.

I had a typo in what I wrote - it's actually H264 not H265. Windows can play it, but just thinks it's only 1 second long.

I suspect that VLC will work, given Resolve will work. My main question is whether there is anything in the settings that will allow it to save in a more... "compatible?"... way? Or is there any chance there's a bug in the encoding and saving of the file?

@scott-leckie_478144730235105 I did download some mp4 files from different cameras and the Windows details give the exact duration. From which camera you are downloading the file?

Can you download the file in low resolution and check the duration? Are you sure that the 12MB file is in high resolution?

@scott-leckie_478144730235105 i have the same issue. it has caused many issues with trying to edit the footage, none of my android apps will allow the footage to even load. i can not figure out why its doing this. it does seem to be something related to the fact that we are using the FTP transfer. if anyone can help with this issue many thanks
