Can't see video stream in client since software upgrade

Hi. I was prompted to download the latest windows client two days ago which i promptly did. But now I cant see the live video streams. Any idea please?

Some people have found switching hardware decoding on/off may fix this issue depending on the computer hardware.
Another fix reported was to download and install DirectX9 I believe.
