RLC-81PA won’t connect to NVR

Just received my RLC-81PA, really want to try it out, but it won’t connect to my Reolink NVR. It shows up on the list of available cameras, but I always get a can’t connect error message. Doesn’t seem to be a user name or password issue. It’s getting power, the IR lights are on. I’ve done the 10 second reset, no help. If I hold the reset button for more than 10 seconds after providing power, the camera generates a musical tone, but no idea what it signifies. Maybe this new model isn’t NVR compatible ?
