I recently added the E1 Indoor 3MP camera to our Reolink setup as it was fairly cheap on Amazon and adequate for the small area it needs to cover. I'm curious about the Ethernet port on the camera as I can't find any reference to it on Reolink's product pages.

The camera itself is very close to the router so I've linked the two via a cable, but can't see any way to check if the connection is still via WiFi or whether it switches to the hard connection. The router is owned/managed by our ISP so can't login to it.

Does anyone know if the port on the E1 Indoor 3MP is functional, and if so whether it's just a case of hooking a cable to the router to achieve a wired connection? Any insights appreciated.

@user_727607713124599_727607713124599 Take note of the UID from the info menu. Connect a cat5/6 cable between your camera and the BB router. Now setup a hotspot on your smartphone and get the ssid and password. Now from the camera select the hotspot. Now switch off hotspot and add the camera using the UID you got from the info menu. If you are able to add it and watch live view then your communication is through the LAN port. E1 OD despite it is WIFI cam, it can be connected via the LAN port.

Note that the camera will always try to connect to the last connected SSID.

Thanks for that Joseph, I'll give it a try over the weekend and let you know how I get on.
