Hiis there any plans to enable the cloud function for the UK customers on the reolink Go battery camera ? it seems silly not being able to do this, a thief can just steal the camera and remove the battery before I get a chance to download the footage....I just don't understand why other countries can do this like in the USA but in the UK we cant, seriously thinking of returning it as its clearly not fit for purpose if the camera can simply be stolen and battery removed...
same for me, for Switzerland. Can we use reolink cloud service in Switzerland ?I see that the reolink cloud service website is available in english and german, but neither Germany nor Switzerland are in the list of supported countries...weird indeed !
I think many use Reolink Cam's in Europe but no one can use the Cloud. Is there a plan in Future we can use the Cloud in Europe (Germany, Switzerland etc.)?
This is extremely problematic if the SIM card in the camera is stolen and no cloud: the thief can rob the camera unnoticed with the SIM card that may produce infinite costs...so not for me if we cannot remotely keep an eye on the camera
the Reolink Team told me that apparently are still working on some GDPR issues and they are planning to release a storage station for the Reolink, I think its really bad of them GDPR should not be a problem and a storage station is yet another purchase, I really don't understand what's so difficult about the GDPR ? I work as a data controller myself so it really baffles me why they are taking so long ? my only assumption is that their EU customers are very small and they aren't bothered by it so much, its a shame as I was going to purchase about 20 of those cameras to use in my work place too
is GDPR an issue if I use the camera at my home !!!? I hear but I don't understand...
Sorry, due to the GDPR, the cloud service in EU needs more discussion before the official release. For now, we haven't been informed with the accurate release date so I'm afraid I'm unable to give you a solid answer. So sorry for the inconvenience. GDPR won't be an issue if you just access the live stream or playback via SD card.
in Switzerland, we do not have GDPR (while we have to comply when data may flow to EU), but LPD. So why no cloud service for Switzerland (some retailers here sell your product advertising the Reolink cloud service by the way) ?
Hi there, for this issue we will confirm with our manger about it, thank you~
this issue is very urgent your team needs to work on this quicker or at the very least offer API access to your cameras so I and others can make their own cloud recording ? at the moment the SD card concept is flawed as a thief can simply take the camera and remove the battery, the camera takes a while to connect to the livestream and then to start recording, all of that is more than enough time for someone to remove the battery and the footage is gone, its a very expensive camera and I really think your team is not taking this seriously enough for your EU customers, I work in the GDPR field if your team needs help let me know! this is a week job at most and almost every cloud based CCTV have this function here in the UK...
Sorry, we are indeed currently researching cloud services and are in progress according to our plan. It will be realized as soon as next year.Thank you very much for your attention and help!
I have the same problem.Storing the videos in a cloud is important to me.I have several ARLO cameras from Netgear in my house and for years now all videos have been stored in a cloud.Had I known in advance that the Reolink Go could not do this, I would not have bought it.So I will probably have to sell the Go and buy more from Netgear.
Hi Cynthia.Cloud is key for many UK users, especially smaller businesses... now that the UK due to leave the EU imminently when can we expect a Reolink Cloud Service for the UK??I'm sure many in the UK would be able to expand your UK market BUT ONLY if using the cloud is available. Many thanks
We are still working with efforts to bring the Reolink Cloud to European users, but there is still a lot of work to do. We have forwarded your request to the R&D team. Please believe that we are keeping providing better products and experience to our customers.
I hope that the cloud services will be avaiblae in Germany soon, we really need it! Reolink cameras are simply the best, but without a cloud they are kind of useless. Really looking forward for a reolink cloud in Germany!
