How can you stop the camera from recording all night long because of a spider web in front of it? Best would be if the IR lights were off (like a trail/game camera) until motion was detected, at which point the IR lights would activate and recording would begin. I understand that is not the point of security cameras, but they already have the motion detection built in. How about a firmware upgrade to allow this setting instead of just on or off. If the IR lights were off until motion was detected, the spiders would not build their webs in front of it. Most often the cameras are not with-in reach to easily clean and in my case, some are 3 hours away. Seems like a simple fix.
