      Dear Reolink group,

I've just purchased 2 E1-Outdoor cameras and I'm integrating them in a Home Assistant process.
I need the cameras to point randomly to different preset positions, and stay there during a random time.

My question is the following :
Can the cameras detect motion while moving from one position to another, or do they need to be standing still in order to detect motion ?

      Thank you
      Best regards
      Axel

@acanicio_729093081293029 Note that E1 OD camera can track but can't do patrolling. Patrol functionality is implemented on RLC-423, RLC-423W, RLC-523WA, RLC-823A, and RLC-823A 16X.

RLC-823A-16X allows patrolling and auto-tracking to work together.

@joseph_1979 so the 823a cannot patrol and lock on to motion WHILE patrolling? Correct? I.e if it is patrolling to the left and a person rides a bicycle by going to the right, the camera will not divert from “patrol” to track the movement of the bicycle?

I think The E1 OD camera is capable of tracking, but it is not equipped for patrolling.

@user_736639230267640_736639230267640 Correct. Patrolling is available on RLC-423 series, RLC-523WA, RLC-823A and RLC-823A 16X. Note that in RLC-823A 16X you have both auto-tracking and patrolling.
