Confirm resolution of 12 MP reolink cameras

I am purchasing the following 12MP, 2TB Harddrive.
"REOLINK 12MP Security Camera System Commercial, 8pcs H.265 12MP PoE Security Cameras Wired Outdoor, Person Vehicle Pet Detection, Spotlight Color Night Vision, 16CH NVR 4TB HDD, RLK16-1200B8-A"

But one of the reviews questioned whether the cameras are truly 12 MP. Has anyone verified the resolution? There are many 8 MP camera systems, and I am expecting 50% better resolution with these 12 MP reolink cameras than the many 8 MP cameras.
