Multiple cameras from wan in mobile app
-
greetings
I have multiple rlc-422 setup in my office.
I am trying to use the android app to connect to the cameras from outside the lan.
have port forwarding in router set up as follows
camera1 externalip:9000 ---> internalip:9000
camera2 externalip:9001 ---> internalip:9000
camera3 externalip:9002 ---> internalip:9000
the problem is when I go to add the 2nd camera to the mobile app, it says 'device already exists'.
please advise.
Thanks

I have the same problem.
Your instructions say: "If by WAN IP address,pls firstly set static IP address for the camera. Then do the port forwarding for them (different port each one)."
I believe that is what I have done.
I have assigned static IP addresses to all cameras within my LAN, and have forwarded a different port to each one.
I can successfully add the first camera in the mobile app (using a Dynamic DNS domain that points to my home).
But when I attempt to add the second camera (using the same Dynamic DNS domain, but a different port) I receive the message ‘device already exists’.
Scanning the QR codes is not an option for me.
It appears that the app is examining only the domain name (and not the port) to determine if the device already exists. If it sees the same domain name, it assumes the device already exists, even if there is a different port.
Please advise. -
