Basically I just want to user accounts to:- get push notifications when the camera detects motion at the front door-be able to see the camera stream and engage in 2 way audio.However, I only want them to be able to do this whe they are on the premises. I do NOT want users to be able to:-Monitor the camera stream from outside the premises or outside of working hours-Be able to download footage -Playback recorded footageI was thinking of a system whereby they get push notifications only and can view the livestream using a device which stays on the premises.Possibly an echo show (if possible) or similar device.
Looking at a reolink cam's with 2 way audio. I have some very specific requirements and do not know if Reolink app can be setup to do what I need. The scenario is, I am the owner/manger of a business.The camera is to monitor a building entrance. I want all the functionality of a video door bell (alerts, detection logging, 2 way coms etc) but through a camera. A video door bell isn't what I want as I'm happy with the doorbell system I have. I need to have control over the app as admin but want to be able to share certain features with staff members. Ideally, I don't want them to require the installing of an app on their own mobile devices but this is an option. I do want them to get notifications when the camera detects motion, either to their mobile device and/or via a shared Alexa enabled Echo device. I'd be happy to share access to the app with staff as long as I was able to restrict access to what they can see. It would be handy if they where able to engage in 2 way audio communication to the camera whilst on the premises (only).I would be great if staff could view the camera and engage 2 way coms using the echo show device.Can someone please advise on which products might be most suited and advise me on exactly how much I can tailor what staff have access to on the app etc.Thanks.
Hi, I know some Reolink devices are now Alexa compatible. With a Reolink NVR and camera with 2 way audio capability, Is it possible to talk to people using an Amazon Echo show? Would it be possible to set it up so that I get a notification when someone approaches a camera, and then I can quickly monitor that camera with the Echo show and speak to the person. Ideally I would like the echo show not to be used for anything else and just be in screen black mode unless I want to view the camera. I imagine it working like this.1. Reolink push notification of motion detection 2. Ask Alexa to show that camera via the echo show3. Speak to the person through the Echo show .I am trying to eliminate the use for phone apps as much as possible. The situation is essentially a front door monitoring (like a ring door bell) but I want the expandability and extra features that an NVR offers .Thanks.
I have an RLN8-420 with D400 cameras. I used to be able to alter the settings on each camera in the reolink app by selecting a camera and clicking on the cog wheel. Now if I click the cog wheel it doesn't show the camera settings, it says RLN8 410 at the top with a picture of the NVR. Please help. Thanks
Hi, I (admin) can access the app on my mobile device on both my lan (WiFi) AND on cellular. As I already said in my post (did you read it?), The issue is only with my partners shared device (user).So I doubt that is to do with the settings on the nvr as I am able to access all features using the app on my own device wherever I am.
When I switch the Wi-Fi off on her phone, dialogue box comes up at the bottom of the page which says connected via cellular. However the streams just failed to load. Says connecting with a loading circle and then eventually it says connection failed.
Hi. I recently installed a marvelous RLN8-410 NVR. I have extremely impressed with the quality of the system and how easy it was to set up. I am using the reolink app on my Android 10 phone and I am able to view you live streams both on my home Wi-Fi network and using my my 4G data.I have shared access to the nvr to my girlfriend's phone via the QR code which was extremely easy to setup.She is also able to to use the app without a shoe using or home Wi-Fi but unfortunately when when she's to access the NVR.We both use exactly the same Device, A Moto G8.Does anyone have any suggestions as to what we could try to get it working?Thanks.
