@nickburt218 It seems that an Indian using Airtel ISP was sending non sense messages. He has been blocked.
But I still get the "once every 600 secs" notice:
@joseph_1979 Just installed 8.15.6 on the Dell.
@joseph_1979 Just about to update the Dell with 10.15.6No idea why the Client stopped two days running at 11:30 ish - hasn't done it today! Need to find the time to review event viewer and system logs - struggle due to work load !!!!Guess 2 to 3 secs isn't going to be improved on.Disappointed with the response on reddit.
@joseph_1979 26/01/24 @ 09:30HP pc still at 2 - 3 secs lag.
@joseph_1979 25/01/24 @ 23:3010.15.6 still running on the HP pc. Seems to be a lot better, max 2 to 3 secs lag though still there after a number of hours running. Almost acceptable, but still annoying.Another issue has developed in the last couple days. The Reolink Client on the Dell workstation shuts down at the same time every day (twice now) at sometime just after 11:30.No idea why, and haven't had the time to investigate. The only thing that has changed is that while we were testing over the last couple weeks, I've had a monitor, keyboard and mouse connected to it rather than using RD and they were unplugged and removed in the evening of 23rd when doing the Client update on the HP.This one is concerning though, as it's the Client on the Workstation that does the 24/7 recording.Will se what happens tomorrow and if it does it again, daft as it seems, I'll put the monitor, keyboard and mouse back on it.
@joseph_1979 23/01/24 @ 21:10 - 10.15.6 installed on HP pc only. Note - full uninstall of previous version needed to get it working.Auto Client update disabledHardware Decoding offNo recording via ClientLet's see how this goes.
@joseph_1979 And I thank you for your help and suggestions.
@joseph_1979 Had this from Senior Support this morning:"Regarding the delay issue on Reolink Client, sorry to tell you that we have no futher advice for the moment. But we will keep optimzing the Reolink Client to reduce the delay in the future. Thanks for your understanding."Clearly no solution.I'll have a look at BI, but really running out of enthusiasm (and time) for this now. Maybe I should invoice Reolink for my time spent on this for them !!!!!!
@joseph_1979 21/01/24 @ 22:20Dell - all cams around 6 - 7 secs lag and trying to jump forward a couple secs now and again.HP - Reolink Client crashed twice in the last couple of hours. So, at the moment, times are correct to within a second.
@nickburt218 In my opinion, Reolink Client is not meant for continously monitoring but rather a tool to view for short periods and performing maintenance on the cams. [snip]
This is a shame, and not how I understood the comment on Reolink's website:24/7 monitoring, to me, means being able to view 24/7
@joseph_1979 09:30HP is fairly good - around 1 sec lag on all 3 cameras.Dell Workstation is 5 - 6 secs on all 3.After a bit of discussion on Reddit, it has been suggested on that running the Client 24/7 is not the intended way of operation, nor recommended, and that I should be using an NVR to do my recording.So far, no real solution to the lagging cameras issue.Still no reply from Reolink senior support, but it is the weekend, so I'll hang on a couple days. But given I raised this two weeks ago .............
