I have installed an RLC-822A and have discovered that it does send me notifications when a light is turned on or off. Perhaps this is due to the sensitivity settings I have selected, but it's a pleasant discovery for me, as it means that motion detected by floodlight sensors can trigger an alert from the camera.

Really happy about this.

For Reolink - this might be a good AI update. If the camera's AI determines a light has turned on, it can send a more specific alert.

I have a suggestion regarding tamper protection for the POE version: if the NVR detects that the doorbell has been tampered with or stolen (i.e., removed from the wall without first removing it from the NVR's channels), the NVR will software lock down the ethernet port being used by the tampered doorbell.

This is so that no one can gain access to the NVR or the rest of the network by ripping out the doorbell and plugging into the exposed ethernet wire.

This would be great for all POE cameras, but the doorbell is most exposed due to it's location. The feature could also be 'paused' while installing and the user could turn it on in the NVR after the installation is set.

I would love to see a firmware update that adds package detection as an option to the cameras - we could turn it on or off as needed. Package detection would have its own alert like Person or Vehicle detection, but could also send another push notification if the package has been sitting for some time, set by the user.

With such an AI upgrade, I could point an rlc-510a camera at my porch, and receive a notification when a package has been left there. Then, another notification if the package is still there 30 minutes later, etc.

As you know (and as is documented above), a red blinking light indicates that the NVR is recording to the HDD. However a red blinking light is often used to indicate an error rather than normal function, so it's kind of jarring every time I see it.

Can you update the firmware so that this blinking light be configured via software so we can choose to enable or disable it in the settings?
