I have the 16 channel NVR (H3MB18) and there are a few things I would love to see in future firmware releases.- Direct access to cameras behind the NVR. Either by allowing them to get a dhcp address from the network (not from the NVR itself) or somehow bridging the NVR network to the local lan.- In the newer (current) firmware, the NVR can automatically update the NVR firmware. I'd like to see automatic camera firmware update implemented as well. Looking through all of the revisions for all of the cameras, updating is kind of a pain once you start mixing different models on the NVR. Especially when you have to download the update file, copy to a usb drive, hook a monitor and mouse up just to update.- This goes with above, but right now we can't update the camera firmware unless in front of the NVR itself. This isn't ideal as a lot of people have NVRs tucked away and don't always have a monitor nearby or connected to them. If we could manually update the camera firmware via the desktop client, this would be awesome. If we had direct access to the cameras behind the NVR this would also be a lot easier to update the cameras.- Be able to rearrange the camera channel numbers in the client. Right now this can be done, but again, only directly on the NVR. I'd like to basically be able to do EVERYTHING through the client that you can do as if you were sitting in front of the NVR itself. I think these are really the only things left. Thanks for listening!John
Not sure on iOS, but on Android it can do 4x4 in either landscape or portrait mode. I also agree with the other stuff.-JohnScreenshot_20210104-083319_Reolink.jpgScreenshot_20210104-083828_Reolink.jpg
First I upgraded the nvr as my model had a new update.I upgraded the firmware from here.On the cameras, I had them all downgraded to the 04/22/2020 firmware you mentioned and from that upgraded to the new firmware from here.I've gone through a few reboots with no issues. I had a feeling right away things were good as they came back up after the firmware update, whereas before they did not.John
I've updated the cameras to the latest version and everything seems to be just fine, thank you!
Also, is there a way on the new client to snip a recording like you can with the old one? The old one made it very convenient to snip a minute or so of what I actually wanted. I can't seem to figure out how to do it on the new client, unless it's just not an option.
I've noticed this as well.
I will try this tonight, thank you!!
Is there a way to force a downgrade, and if so, is the firmware available somewhere? For the B800 and the D800.
Again it happened this morning at 2AM!!! Grrrr!!!! Guess I'll get in touch with support. It had no issues until the latest firmware posted for these models. I tried to "upgrade" again with the same firmware thinking that might change something but it won't allow it as it is the same version number.
I'm using the NVR though. If you're using individual cameras, that might be the difference on the 2x2 vs. 4x4.
Well I woke up this morning and those same 8 cameras were disconnected again. Only thing I could do was to press the reset button until they reset. The only thing that I can think of is that I have the NVR set to reboot at 2AM on Sundays. I have since turned the auto reboot off. The only thing I changed from the last time I reset them was to change the recording bitrates to their max, change the location of the time to the bottom left, set them to record sound, and renamed the channels. Not sure what happened..
