I recently purchased a Reolink PoE doorbell and am very impressed, but I'd also like to be able to purchase a second chime so that I can hear the doorbell in other regions of my house. Reolink, get on it, please! I need a second chime in an Australian version!
Something that annoys me is the spate of notifications I receive when there's something I need to do outside my house, as I usually have my phone in my pocket and it's going nuts from constant detection events, or my partner is getting notifications because I'm outside doing something. To avoid this, I currently go into the app and disable push notifications, which turns off notifications for all cameras. Whilst this isn't difficult, I often forget to turn notifications back on. As such, it would be good to have the option to temporarily 'pause' notifications for a defined period, after which notifications auto resume. After clicking pause, an option could be presented to select from defined periods, such 10 min, 30 min, 60 min, 2 h, 6 h, 12 h. Then you could just choose the appropriate option based on how long you expect to need notifications paused.
"40*40*40(mm), DC12V, Power:0.43W"shouldn't this be 40x40x10 mm? I've also noticed disappointingly loud fan noise after upgrading from a 8ch to a 16ch system, and I'm looking at options for reducing the fan noise.I'm actually wondering whether the RLN16-410 can be run with the fan disconnected? The reason I'm wondering is because I was previously running a RLN8-410, which had 8 cameras connected and was recording 24/7 to the internal HDD and it had no issues with overheating. The RLN16-410 has the same logic board layout, I'm only recording to 8 cameras, and I only have one internal HDD. As such, the setup is essentially the same as the 8ch setup and yet the 16ch setup has a noisey little fan. Does anybody know of any mods for reducing the fan noise? I'm not keen to run the NVR with the cover removed (although that does actually reduce the noise as the cover seems to amplify the fan noise). The screws holding the fan are tight. I'm tempted to purchase a Noctua 40x40x10mm fan to see how that goes, but I'm not real impressed with having to spend an another $40 for a better quality fan for what was already a AUD$1300 security system.
