The Amazon listing that I purchased lists this NVR with:

The 8MP/4K PoE NVR works perfectly with all Reolink 8MP, 5MP and 4MP PoE IP cameras and WiFi cameras, providing users with enough flexibility for 24/7 recording, motion detection alerts, live views, playbacks, and many other beneficial features.

May be worth updating these listings as not supporting Reolink's latest functionality with smart detection.

@diivious I posted a link above that shows there should be an update to permit H3MB18 to function.

It seems that I was unfortunate enough to have purchase a system just last month and it was H3MB16 and will be unusable.

I am not sure why the NVR limit exists as the updated cam hardware is said to be doing the detection on device.

Can you explain why H3MB16 will not with smart protection?
