We have received some feedback that the black screen and the freezing issue have been solved by disabling the hardware decoding setting in this version. Ticket Number :#853946 - I have made use of the disable/enable hardware decoding in this version; graphics card software is 100%up to date.
8.8.0 is still randomly freezing the live camera views. This is the 3rd update in a row that hasn't fixed the issue. 8.5.2 is the latest version that still works as intended. This is getting old...
The freezing isn't happening for me right now but the black screens remain despite changing the Hardware decoding toggles in the settings.
is this a Windows 11 only problem?
Nope, it's also a Windows 10 problem too.
The black screen problem is still not solved. I have the latest Windows with the latest updates. As a graphics card I use an onboard intel graphics card. So a completely normal system with the latest software and hardware.Since installing the Reolink APP version: 8.7.3. Despite many escalations in the previous versions, the problem is still not solved. For several weeks I have no access to my chambers. Very annoying. Can I send development any protocols so that the problem is finally solved? I like to work together. Shortly after the start, everything looks good.Shortly after, everything goes black. Yeah, so many users are having this problem and Reolink claim they will have it fixed in 8.8.*.
This is a great feature and would be great to see! Also removing the motion detected icons on the Windows app would be great too
Hello,So, for the past 6+ months, your Windows app has had known issues with it. Many users including myself have reported these issues to your support team. Many versions of the app has been released since these issues started to appear, black screens, constant app freezing when opening and closing cameras. Your support team have advised they have no time frame to resolve these issues and even your latest "beta" 8.7.2 still have these issues. I call it beta since your own support team have said it's a beta version even though in your 8.7.2 app release topic on the community here has no mention of it being a beta.I'm not the only user to face these frustrating issues, others have complained on here too, the Facebook group and also reddit has mentions of these issues.When is more focus going to be given to this issues? I feel like these issues are a low priority for your dev team and it's really disappointing. I had so much faith in the Reolink brand but not so much anymore due to this.If your own devs can't fix it, isn't it time to hire some extra devs to focus on it?Please let your users know what your plans are to have this resolved. Will it be in 8.7.3 that was meant to be released last week? Or 8.8.0? 8.9.0? 9.0.0?What's the plan?#OneDisappointedUser.Thank you
