Hello. Just wanted to say "Thanks" to the ReoLink support team (Bob) for working on the firmware update for the RLC-423 (5MP Version) and making it now available on the website for users to download. I am happy to report that this latest firmware version FIXED my RLC-423 5MP camera! This camera had been rendered useless when I flashed it with the 4MP firmware (the only firmware available on the website a week ago). However, as soon as I installed the new 5MP firmware (which, apparently now supports both the 4MP and 5MP versions of the RLC-423), the camera worked GREAT! I did read a forum post where one user (Johann) reported that the new firmware degraded the night-time performance of his 4MP camera. So, perhaps some fine tweaks might still be coming in the future. But for me, I am just happy to have a working 5 MP camera again. The filename of the new firmware is:IPC_3816M.1124_17120705.RLC-423.IMX326.5MP.PTZ.REOLINK.pakThanks ReoLink!
Hello. I just purchased an RLC-423 (5MP Version) and connected it to my RLN16-410 NVR. It appeared to work fine at first, with just a slow focus when zooming. I had read that a firmware update might fix this. I downloaded the latest firmware for the RLC 423 direct from the Reolink website on January 6, 2018. The firmware filename I downloaded was:IPC-3816M.889_17083008.RLC-423.ov4689.4MP.PTZ.REOLINIK.pak(9.32 MB, 2017-09-20, 21:22:40)After this firmware upgrade, the RLC-423 camera no longer works. I believe this firmware might be specifically for the 4MP version of the RLC-423, and I have the 5MP version of the RLC-423. Can anyone confirm that this indeed might be the problem? Is there a fix for this? There does not seem to be ANY firmware specifically for the 5MP version of the RLC-423 available on the Reolink website. I'm dead in the water until this can be resolved. Thanks for any help anyone is able to provide.
