I use 24/7 into the NVR. If I understand your response, by using the NVR, I cannot playback the previous hour! Is this a setting that can be changed? If not, it's crazy that one cannot review recent footage. In an emergency, it could be imperative to be able to rapidly review previous minutes. If this is the case and it's not user configurable, can we get an urgent firmware upgrade to address this?ThanksDavid
Since the last update,on both my Android devices, the back button does not work with the Reolink app. I have re-installed the app and all Android firmware is up to date. Is this a known issue to be fixed? Thanks
Whenever I try to connect to NVR using devices in the same network and with my VPN connected to the Internet, the devices fail to connect to the streams. Why is this? Thanks
In playback there are two options (”Fluent” and ”Clear”) on the Mac software, just above the playback timeline. The actual camera settings can be configured with the client software, ”Device settings”, ”Encode”.
Found it!!Many thanks
Thanks for that. I have the options in "live" view but not in "playback".Cheers
All my software is bang up to date. When I use my PC for playback, the picture is very low definition despite the live view being pin-sharp. (my pc has a 200mb connection). I am sure the playback wasn't this bad until recently but I cannot find a setting to increase the playback picture definition.Any ideas? Thanks
I am using a PC. Suggest you open a ticket. I have always found Reolink quick to respond. I have already suggested a rewind function, via their tech help, would be essential and as this is a beta, they could be open to ideas to improve.
I don't have an answer as to why this happens but you shouldn't need anything else. You may want to try looking at your firewall settings but I am no expert!
You expand the timeline by clicking the timeline button on right side of timeline, then use your scroll wheel on your mouse to expand it. Like I previously said, once channel is dragged into the playback, there is no fast forward button. There is a button before it is dragged over.I did figure out you have to drag the channel out of playback, simply going back to live view does not remove it.
Thanks for the pointer on the timeline! The fast forward button works on mine even when the channel is dragged into the window.
There are 2 modes, Live and Playback. Switch back to live or just drag another camera into the playback window. There is a fast forward control in the bottom right hand corner. There is no reverse playback ( which is a huge oversite as is the inability expand the timeline to enable fine tuning of the playback).
