@reolink-fiona this issue was raised over four months ago, and there still is no documentation (that I can find) on the Reolink website about how to mount hard drives in the RLN36. Please have that documentation posted and provide a link. We should not have to contact support to do something that must be done on each and every RLN36 before it can be used.@bg_466060773163151 or @colovin_541922116624611 if either of you submitted a request to Reolink support and received the relevant documentation, perhaps you could reply in this thread and include the documentation so everyone in the world who acquires an RLN36 will be able to use it. Thanks!
Same problem on HP Spectre x360 at native 1920x1080 resolution
Agreed - fast playback (at a variety of user-selectable speeds) is an absolutely essential capability for any NVR PC client. The process of having to "hunt" for an event is simply too laborious, tedious and time-consuming to be practical in real-world usage. It was shocking to discover that the Reolink PC client does not have this capability, and it is the primary reason I find myself unable to recommend Reolink to others. Here's one example of how it is viewed as a fundamental capability: https://www.itech-ny.com/blog/bid/283101/Can-I-Fast-Forward-Through-My-Surveillance-Camera-System-FootageHikvision has it, Reolink should also have it.
Thank you.I have two suggestions for you:1. make the format of the information in the release notes consistent with the information displayed in "System Information". This will make it easy and intuitive for the user to determine whether the downloaded firmware is more recent than the installed firmware. Including the build number in the release notes should accomplish this.2. When selecting "System Information" in the PC client, enable the ability to select and copy the data to the clipboard. This will eliminate the need to type the long series of numbers and letters manually.
My RLN8-410 shows the following System Information:Build 1601260Hw No. H3MB02Cfg version 2.0.0.0Fw version details NVR63088104000000200000I just downloaded the firmware on your website. In the release notes it saysFirmware Version: HI3535_NVR_8IP_REOLINK_L300_0705_4023_1322.pakI am unable to tell from this information whether my installed firmware is current. Can you tell me please?
This is very poor security practice. All user passwords should be encrypted and unavailable to anyone. They certainly shouldn't be sent "in the clear" via an email. As a security company, reolink should know better.
I have the same problem. Your instructions say: "If by WAN IP address, pls firstly set static IP address for the camera. Then do the port forwarding for them (different port each one)."I believe that is what I have done.I have assigned static IP addresses to all cameras within my LAN, and have forwarded a different port to each one.I can successfully add the first camera in the mobile app (using a Dynamic DNS domain that points to my home). But when I attempt to add the second camera (using the same Dynamic DNS domain, but a different port) I receive the message ‘device already exists’.Scanning the QR codes is not an option for me.It appears that the app is examining only the domain name (and not the port) to determine if the device already exists. If it sees the same domain name, it assumes the device already exists, even if there is a different port. Please advise.
