RE: Viewing *.mp4 remotely
Please close the case. I have asked a colleague and he tried to view the *.mp4 remotely and it was working. A PC of another colleague does not work.
But in general it seems to be a problem of the browser. -
RE: Viewing *.mp4 remotely
Hello Support,
thanks for the answer.
Unfortunately I am not able to see your video, you only inserted a *jpg, but no link to the video.
Have checked Google and again my index.html - I do not see an error. In case your engineer is telling you that the index.html is wrong, please tell me where to edit.
Have tested again the my *.mp4 to convert it with ffmpeg (ffmpeg -i 01_20161005205854.mp4 -c:v libx264 -preset ultrafast video.mp4) - and this mp4 is playable locally and remotely

RE: Need help...I am looking for a reliable camera system!!!
Although I am using only one RLC-422 since 2 weeks, I am trying to answer you questions:
- How many motion detection videos are available monthly throughout the software? Are they unlimited?
AFAIK there is no limitation, except of your space on your ftp-server. I am using motion detection too. Size of a video is approx. 50MB. - I know its possible to adjust the sensitivity but in my previous system even in the lowest sensitivity was able to record light changes but not people passing (was very annoying)…so, how reliable is Reolink camera system regarding this subject?
People passing is always recognized and yes, lights could be an issue. However, you have to try-and-error to define the motion-detection areas. - How works the customer support when you have an issue?
Had not really an issue with the CAM yet. Have requested a feature and this was forwarded to R&D. Do not know, when this feature will be available.

Viewing *.mp4 remotely
Hello,
I am using a RLC-422 (build 16091803, HW IPC_3816M, FW v2.0.0.1215_16091803) to generate *.mp4 via motion detection - so far so good.
These *.mp4. are uploaded to my private ftp-server. Every 6 hours I move these *.mp4 to my private webserver and create automatically an index.html - so far so good.
Unfortunately all *.mp4 are only playable locally. When trying to see them remotely I do only get the sandbox - the length of the video is also not visible (except of my iPad)
The mime-type .mp4 is defined, so that is not the issue.
Have tried the following clients:- MacOS 10.10 with Firefox 45.x and Safari 9.1.3
- Windows 7 with IE and Firefox
When trying to see the *.mp4 remotely via my iPad (9.x) it is working.
So it seems, that something with the codecs is not working corretly.
Please find below the result of mediainfo of a mp4-file and and example of the index.html:

Does someone has the same issues ? Does someone has a webserver with orginal *.mp4 created by RLC-422 ?
Any hint is welcome.
