@reolink-lorenz Do the vouchers have to be used by today (12 November)? If not, what is the expiry date?
@reolink-lorenz Thanks Lorenz. Pity!
@reolink Thank you for the fun and games. How do the prizes work? Can I collect prize discount vouchers for several days and use them all on a single purchase?
I'm very impressed by the multi-function Reolink Lumus wi-fi camera with integral spotlight.I also love the fact that Reolink client software runs perfectly on my iMac. Proper support for MacOs is very rare indeed in this market.And kudos to Reolink for making this mini powerhouse of a camera so accessible. At under £60, it's an impulse purchase and terrific value.I'm currently using mine as a cat camera to alert me when I need to open the door to let the cat in. I've uploaded my review to Youtube if anyone is interested:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfTPO30rqaY&feature=youtu.be
Sadly, I have been told by Reolink support that the engineers can't fix it in firmware.That's a tragedy as this is potentially a world-beating camera with the universal appeal of wires-free technology.
Carl, the problem is one of zero alerts rather than false ones. However I do get plenty of "empty" clips where the moving subject has exited the frame before recording starts!
Thanks Carl but resets didn't help. Neither did changing my settings. Neither did changing the angle of my camera. HQ Kindly sent me out a replacement Argus Pro which has exactly the same fault and Support tell me that the engineers are working on it for a future firmware update.The problem looks fixable. There should be no visible lens/sensor adjustment for white balance (or exposure, or whatever is the adjustment is). I'm only seeing the white flares on recordings - the live view doesn't suffer in the same way.
I can only concur that the PIR detection function is *extremely* poor on both Argus Pro cameras I have had. The image below shows the ridiculously small proportion of my journey around the camera which was actually captured (in red). I knew from the outset that the PIR would only trigger on an angle, ie movement directly in front of the camera would be ignored - but the acuteness of the angle is ridiculous.Argus-Pro-epic-fail.jpg
My Argus Pro, mounted at my gate and not looking into the sun, records a huge white flare at the start of every clip, as if it is suddenly adjusting for white balance. I have tried a replacement camera but the same thing happens. Changing my settings doesn't help either. Does anyone else see this - and know the cure? Here's a sample clip:Sample white flare clip (new tab)
