Im still waiting for a firmware update for the RLC-410WS to take snapshots every x minutes.about in august support told me they are working on it, but so far nothing happened, i still need to record 24/7 to get a snapshot everytime a new video starts. thats super anoying and puts alot of unnessasary load on my network, my ftp server, and my ssd.is there a chance to get this done?otherwise i resell my cam and get me one that can take simple snapshots.
Hi, please kindly send the url and UID/password of admin of you camera to support@reolink.com then they will help you to check it.
i rather not,i fixed it (kind of) i setup the cam to record to an ftp server (since a picture snapshot feature still isnt available, booo)the cam is now accessible all the time
Hi Kjeld I’m a Linux user and I’ve set up my RLC-411WS not mainly for surveillance purposes but to be able to show weather at my summer cabin. I’m recording 15 secs of video every 15 minutes using ffmpeg software on a small Linux PC (Zbox Nano ID67) running Ubuntu 16.04. From the video I’m also extracting one jpg image used for showing on my Weather station page (needs Flash plugin). All videos can be seen at http://www.wenchebo.no/Weather/video/cam01/ There is currently only a directory listing of all files but I’ll make something more fancy later. I’m also concatenating all the 15 min videos just after midnight and at the same time reducing resolution and framerate in order to create a daily timelapse video also using ffmpeg. Hope this gives you some ideas. Best regards, vennlig hilsen Per.
can u tell me how you did that?what programms are u using?would this run on a raspberry pi 3? thx
Hii have the RLC-410WS firmware v2.0.0.1215_16091802, connected via wifi when i try to access the webinterface i dont get the login information just a "cant reach url" errorwhen i try to acces the stream via vlc and rtsp://xxxxxx:xxxxxxxx@ipaddress//h264Preview_01_maini dont get a connection either.i have to open the app on my phone wait for connection and then all the above works.only after the app connects to the cam, i can access the webinterface and the stream with vlc but only for a certain time, than i have to login via the app again.the cam is not setup to record anything or do any motion triggers.i just want to watch the cam from time to timeis the cam in some kind of sleep mode or something?how can i fix that? would it help to connect the cam via ethernet cable?
this is my reolink 410https://i.imgsafe.org/7a0beafe47.jpgthis is my trendnet TV-IP314PI pointed in the same directionhttps://i.imgsafe.org/7a0c0149aa.jpgpicture taken at the same time
i am not taking the snapshots myself i use the ftp setup to save snapshots every minute (ish) with this setting(i hope there will be a better implementation of taking photos in a future firmware)the picture resolution is 2560x1440 also with the 60 kb files
is there a way to setup the 410ws to get better pictureson the live video the picture looks much better than the snapshots it saves.i use the 410ws as a weathercam, when its sunny the pictures are really good, and take up about 250 kbbut when it gets a little bit cloudy outside the quality goes to hell, and the pic only is 40 kbhere are my settings, maybe i missed something
are there any updates on this?a simple feature to only upload pictures every x seconds/minutes would be great.i dont need the video on my ftp, only like to save pictures every minute.this feature cant be hard to implement, hope this will be added soon
