@spencer_415837063233716 Nevermind, I found where the control was hidden in the lower left of the screen near the camera name on the time line.Seriously? How about make it freaking default? Why the hell would anyone spend this kind of money to watch video quality from 1923?
Just as the title says. I have perfect clear HD live view. When I try to use playback on my same network connect PC using the PC app I get a disgusting blury picture like I own a cheap ace camera system from the 1970s. What gives? Why can't I see in Play Back the same clear picture recorded from live view? If I only have this crappy blurry video to look at for security then the $$$$$ I spent on this system is waste. And if I need to rely on this blurry junk then I need to scrap Reolink, this is so frustrating there is not a easy to use control that you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out how to get clear video. Why have HD cameras if the dang recorded video does not play in HD AS DEFAULT!!!!!
The camera also zooms in (optical) towards the bottom of the original optical image. For example, if I start off with the sky and earth (ground) equally top and bottom of image, when I zoom in (to see something out on my property that is center screen) the sky disappears as the camera can now only see the edge of the earth (ground). And the item I wanted to zoom into is now at the very top edge of the image (if in the image at all). Like the camera has a hard time staying fully vertically up when zooming in on something.I do not have this issue with the RLC-423s. I can zoom in with the RLC-423 and it keeps the image centered. I am not referring to digital zoom here, this is optical zoom.
@ashbowden00 Good points to check. I believe what you describe is what I am experiencing. I will verify if the camera tries to move vertical at all. I did not think so, but I was not looking for the slightest movement...I was looking for complete movement to track near the camera. My application:I have this camera on the corner of my home about 12 ft. high. The natural walking path for a human is to cut the corner pretty close to the house. At this time the camera loses the human walking about 12 ft. from the camera as it does not track vertical correctly (or as a normal consumer would expect). If the human swings wide and keeps 12 ft. from the corner of the home (a very unnatural path for an intruder) the camera tracks as required.I agree Reolink needs to improve their tracking algorithm tuning. At this time the auto-tracking fails normal use for me. At this time, I would consider this camera for commercial use as a parking lot (open field) camera where the targets are out in the open and not near walls or buildings where the camera would naturally be mounted.Thank you for the help...
How do I default the windows client to open the video feeds as "clear" instead of Standard or fluent? This is annoying having to right click and select "clear" with every video feed when I open the windows client. For some reason the windows client opens set the either fluent or standard and will not remember I selected "clear" when I close the program and re-open. I am using windows client v8.7.1.Not sure why anyone would not want the best video feed to see on their screen when looking at what their cameras are seeing. There should be a setting to allow the user to select the default for this setting. Thank you...
@spencer_415837063233716 Hi Spencer, please go to Download Center, https://reolink.com/download-center/, and download the firmware released on Jan. 20th, 2022 and upgrade your firmware.Don't forget to upgrade your NVR with the latest firmware released on Oct. 15, 2021, as well. Let us know if you have any questions.
@lorenzThank you. You want me to revise the firmware for the RLC-823A and my NVR. However, the firmware I am at right now is the latest you describe. I still am having the issue.RLC-823AThe Firmware I am at = v3.1.0.804 released Jan. 20, 2022NVR RLN16-410 (H3MB18)The Firmware I am at = v3.0.0.148_21100910I do not know where I got this firmware because in the download center the firmware for the RLN16-410 does NOT have this version available. In fact the ONLY version available that matches this is for the RLN8-410. This is confusing. What do I do now? Thank you for helping
@reolink-lorenzRLC-823A firmware IPC_523128M8MP.804_22011511.RLC-823A.IMX415.8MP.PTZ.REOLINK.pakWill not auto-track vertical. Same problem as described by others in this thread. Tracks great side to side. However, when I walk under the camera it stops tracking. What firmware do I need? What setting do I need to enable? What can I do specifically to fix this?NVR is RLN16-410, H3MB18, 12TB HDD, firmware v3.0.0.123_21031206POE connectionI love the camera and will purchase more to replace the 4 other RLC-423s I own. However, I need to solve this problem first. Will move the RLC-423s to other properties I own.Thank you
